Inspired by this quotation, W.H.Y. Foundation has funded two students (Eraboina Sandeep and Eraboina Satish) education for completing their Engineering.

Eraboina Sandeep have completed his “Diploma in Electronics And Communication Engineering” with aggregate scores of 78.00%.

Eraboina Satish, have completed his “Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering” with aggregate scores of 83.8%.

Both Sandeep and Satish are brilliant students and have also secured free Engineering seat to continue their education, but unfortunately, only free seat would not help them to pursue Engineering until they pay building fund of rupees 12000 for 4 years. Due to non-affordability to pay the building fund, they had no option but to lose hope of completing their education.

One of the donors of W.H.Y. Foundation has referred this case to us and post our back ground check, W.H.Y. Foundation has decided to help Sandeep and Satish to continue their education and released an amount of 24000/- rupees towards their college building fund under the AATHMEEYA NESTHAM project.

This is the seventh and eight case funded by AATHMEEYA NESTHAM project of W.H.Y. Foundation.

Thanks to all the supporters and donors of this noble cause.

Spending your personal time is the precious gift you can give anyone. There might have been so many instances which turned into unforgettable moments in each of our lives when we have gone out of our comfort zone trying to help someone else.

Precisely, this is what has happened when 15 volunteers from W.H.Y. Foundation went ahead on 3rd Mar, 2012 to support the poor students in the government school (Xth Standard students) helping them with supplies of all stationery material which will enable them to appear for their final exams this summer.

Through a consolidated effort from each of us, we were able to collect the required material which catered 150 students in a government high school.

Writing Pads – 150, Ball Pens – 300, HB Pencils – 300

Erasers – 150, Sharpners – 150, Geometry Sets -150

File Folder – 150, Rough Note Books – 150.

The contributions have exceeded the budget and we were left out with some more money for which we gave muffins & chocolates for all 150 students.

Most of us after a day long’s work in the night shift, it was time to go to bed…but few people made an exception by postponing their sleep and spend some quality time in the school interacting with the students. It was an amazing experience getting to know the student’s ambitions and aspirations in spite of their hardships to attend the school.

The students also felt happy to see working professionals sharing their feelings on the importance of quality education and were quite encouraged with the words spoken by the visiting volunteers. Special thanks to all the donors and supporters of this cause

“Ignorance, the root and stem of all evil”

Even today when India is splurging for its niche in the world for its fast paced development, there are so many villages whose backbones are broken just by using their ignorance…

This was proved when W.H.Y. Foundation stepped into one such village – Gambhiraopet in Karimnagar district of Andhra Pradesh.

We were requested by the Mandal Education Officer of Gambhiraopet Mandal (Govt Employee) to conduct some counseling sessions for Xth standard students (600+ students in 10 different schools)

There was a bigger issue which got unleashed during our conversations; it was illegal immigration to Gulf countries. But do they know that it is illegal…the answer is NO.

W.H.Y. Foundation has taken a bold step and has done its part in addressing the importance of higher education to the students and has been successful in sowing a seed of thought towards progressive education for a better employment opportunities rather than giving up the basic education in search of fancy abroad jobs.

Our volunteers have put up a presentation of various education avenues post Xth standard and have explained all the requirements of the different courses.

W.H.Y. Foundation is privileged for being invited to conduct such programs and is confident of bringing a difference to at least 1 life out of 600+ students.

But, the students left with a feeling – The only good is knowledge, and the only evil is ignorance.

Thanks to all our donors, supporters and volunteers for helping us in all possible ways to forge ahead with our initiatives.

It was the last day of the year and in few hours there is the coming of a new year, almost everyone around the city were gearing up for the new year bash….

But there happens something unusual…

We had few students from Avanthi Degree & PG college approaching WHY Foundation asking for guidance to do something for the old age people….and we were very happy to support these youngsters who were kind at heart keeping aside their own priorities for the new year party.

With a very limited scope of idea, with a very limited budget, with a very little support from their pals….but with a lot of courage and determination…to do something for the poor, around 10 students gathered together and bought fruits and biscuit packets for 100 old ladies at Govt Home for the Aged and Disabled, Amberpet…and have spent their time with them spreading cheer amongst all of those poor ladies by interacting with them.

The ladies at the old age home felt very happy with this visit by the college students and some were in tears, they felt like that they have seen their own grand children which was a touching moment for all of us present there at the venue. Few ladies at the home were so happy that they sang songs for these students

The event which took place might be a very short and sweet breeze of happiness for the old ladies….but the fact remains that the college students have taken that one step further to share the warmth of love and affection…Kudos to all the participants from Avanthi College for this old age home visit..

WHY Foundation feels proud to be a part of such noble cause and would like to support many more college groups like these for working towards Humanity.

Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire. This is how we all visualize the winters. But, winter comes back very hardly to the underprivileged that too old aged people who are deprived of love and affection by their kith and kin.

On 19th Nov, 2011 W.H.Y. Foundation has taken a step forward to give away few utilities for 100+ women at Home for the Aged and Disabled, Amberpet which would help them to fight the chilling winter.

With the wonderful support from the donors and supporters, we were able to give away shawls, mufflers, vaseline bottles and biscuit packets for all the inmates of the home.

All the people at old age home have thanked for this effort of ours. It gives immense pleasure and satisfaction that we were able to spread love and warmth for these underprivileged people.

W.H.Y. Foundation thanks all the donors and supporters for putting up a consolidated effort. Special thanks to the people who have taken their time to visit the home personally and experienced the joy of giving.

Inspired by this thought, W.H.Y. Foundation has started this books donation drive in 2009 and has achieved a remarkable progress over a period of time.

It was 430 students in 2 schools for 2009, 900 students in 5 schools for 2010 and 2000+ students in 12 schools for 2011. All this has happened with every rupee that has been donated by like minded people for this noble cause.

W.H.Y. Foundation takes this opportunity to thank each one of the donors and supporters for their help in driving this cause to a significant success.

All the school kids have expressed their heartfelt happiness when they received the books which would suffice for the entire year…and one must be present there to actually witness their joy while taking the books.

Their joy and happiness has actually made all of us forget our hardship that each of our volunteers have taken to make this drive a success and all the volunteers have expressed an inner satisfaction which they could not express in words.

For all those who could not make it to the event, we have captured the sweet moments through pictures and videos where in the school teachers have shared their feeling about this initiative and how this cause actually helps them to retain students from dropping out of the schools.
